1. there seems to be an option to enable that: --use-fs-snapshot (https://restic.readthedocs.io/en/stable/040_backup.html) - I can add that as an option, sure. And allowing custom parameters is on my todo list anyway.
2. only in the console right now, which is only active in development-mode. but I think that's a good idea so I'll add a button for that.
